A little about Lin…
Lin started her directing career with scenes from Gruesome Playground Injuries at high school in the rural town of Wills Point, TX and honed her craft, as most do, in college. She was picked as a top student in her directing class and was invited to direct a small-scale play in a black box classroom space. Lin was able to craft a beautiful showing of Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl with no budget and minimal resources within a month. With word of mouth alone, her cast played to a sold out audience every night.
After the success of her first full length show, she wanted more. She found her fire in directing and knew she had more stories to share, so she applied for the next opportunity in her program at the University of North Texas - a lab series production for which she pitched Sophie Treadwell's Machinal. Instead of being overwhelmed by the details and daunting task of working with a full ensemble and design team, Lin found she was even more enamored by the beautiful storytelling she and her crew were capable of.
Most of her experience is working with a strong focus on ensemble and with that foundation she feels confident to work on any show. Lin focuses on creating a fun and productive rehearsal space that becomes a collaborative environment where she and her cast can bring out the best in each other.
